Ice Maker Depot is a nationwide supplier of commercial ice makers and we have served over 10,000 businesses.

We are very excited to offer this $1000 annual scholarship so we can get back to our communities.

Today’s world is a global village and effective communication in different languages has become more important than ever. Thanks to modern technology, people from all over the globe can communicate with one another using English as their common tongue thanks to chat rooms or social media platforms like Facebook Messenger for instance – this way even if you don’t know someone else personally your message will still be understood because it’s being translated by an AI system.

Why is connectivity so important in 2023? How will this communication technology evolve going forward? What technology or communication platforms do you use to connect with others? Answer these questions in a well-thought-out 250-word essay can win a deserving student this $1,000 scholarship.

Eligibility

  • All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship.
  • No minimum GPA requirements.
  • Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.
  • Students attending online universities are invited to apply.

Required Application Details

  • Please write a 250-word essay answering the following questions:
    • Why is communication so important today?
    • How will communication technologies evolve in the future?
    • What technology or types of communication do you use to connect with others?

  • HOW TO APPLY

    • Write your 250-word essay
    • When complete, email us at info@icemakerdepot.com. Send your full name, school name, address, and proof of your enrollment. Please also send us a phone number to contact you at in the event you are selected as the winner. Additionally, please send a phone number to contact you at in the event you are chosen as the winner.

We do not sell or lease any of your personal information. No one will contact you unless it is to notify you of being the winner of the annual scholarship award.

Application Deadline (recurring annually)

All applications must be submitted by  June 1, 2023.

Winner Announcement (recurring annually)

A winner will be selected and notified via email by June 15, 2023.

Scholarship Distribution (recurring annually)

The scholarship will be awarded on or before July 1, 2023. The award will be mailed directly to the universities financial department.

Additional Scholarship Details

  • The winning candidate will be selected by a team of judges from Ice Maker Depot

  • The scholarship funds provided by Ice Maker Depot will be sent directly to the college or university. Funds are to be applied to qualified college expenses (including tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board) for the current academic year.

Privacy Policy

By submitting an application, applicants are authorizing us to send their information regarding their application only, via their submitted email address.

Aside from awarding the winner, we will make no contact with any applicants.

The winner will be asked if they will authorize us to post their name, school, photo (if submitted), and their essay on icemakerDepot.com.

We will delete any personal information pertaining to applicants at their request.

All information (proof of enrollment, essays, and email) relating to applicants is destroyed as soon as a winner is announced.

The applicant’s email address will not be used for any marketing purposes.

Terms & Conditions

All submitted photos and essays are required to be the original work of the applicant. We will not accept plagiarized entries. Only one submission may be entered per student, per year. Duplicate entries will be deleted. All scholarships are non-renewable. By submitting an application you confirm that all the information you have provided is original, accurate, and complete.

Once written permission is granted by the applicant Ice Maker Depot, its agents and/or representatives have permission to:

  • Use their name, photo, essay response, and award amount, if any, in announcements or articles (i.e. social media, newsletter, etc) issued by ICE MAKER DEPOT.
  • Post the applicant’s name, college or university, and the essay on the Ice Maker Depot website.
  • Email information to the applicant regarding their application.
  • Winners will be notified via email, and announced publicly, as well as on Ice Maker Depot’s social media pages.
